PROJECT SITE: Chicago, IL

DECOR: Bar & Restaurant

Case Study:

A new full-service, freestanding restaurant and bar in the historic Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. Fireplaces illuminate the dining room and bar, tin ceilings, imported light fixtures, hardwood floors, and custom-made benches create an engaging atmosphere, which draws repeat patrons into this gathering spot.

The owner’s desire to replicate a Brunswick Era bar was meant with much enthusiasm. Known for intricate and elaborately carved trim work, this project was a labor of love for the custom cabinet-builders who spent hours fine-tuning their details. For any patron sitting at the bar it’s easy to assume the bar was built on-site to accommodate the existing space. However, careful planning and value-engineering in the manufacturing plant allowed the bar to ship to its final destination in multiple pieces, ready for assembly.
