Case Study:

Students and Administration at JV Martin Junior Middle School arrived on Monday, May 4, 2009 to find their cafeteria had been completely remodeled over the weekend with all-new furniture donated by FCI.

Ty’Sheoma Bethea captivated the nation with her passionate plea to President Barack Obama to improve the condition of her 113-year old school. President Obama invited Ty’Sheoma to his Feb. 24 address to Congress, where she sat next to the First Lady Michelle Obama as the President read aloud from her letter. FCI committed to helping improve her school conditions.

FCI donated design services, cafeteria furniture, wall décor and installation. Installation crews from FCI arrived on a Friday afternoon and worked through the weekend to transform the cafeteria into an inspiring and spirit-filled cafetorium. The remodeled cafetorium, a highlight of the entire school remodeling project includes specially-designed logo-themed table tops, new waste enclosures, fresh paint to match school colors, new graphics spotlighting a custom-designed school mascot and over 1,000 3-D letters adhered to the perimeter walls highlighting inspirational quotes from famous leaders such as; President Obama, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King and BB King.
